December 28, 2008: Madelyn's Album
I'm starting to add pictures to Madelyn's Album.  We spent many hours yesterday visiting with the baby and mom.
Check out the pictures by clicking on Madelyn's Photo Album over on the left or HERE.
I've also uploaded pictures of our visit with Eric and the first day at Mike's house, go to the Digital Photo Album on the left or click HERE.

December 27, 2008: Madelyn Rae Tinlin
Early this morning we welcomed the latest edition to the Tinlin Family, Madelyn.  She showed up just before 5AM and is a beautiful little girl!
She weighed in at about 7 lb. 11 oz. and 21 inches...she's a 'long' girl daddy says.  Both Jeanette and Mike are doing fine now that she's made it to this life.
I'll have more pictures soon, but at her Photo Album is a quick picture from the cell phone.

December 7, 2008: Another Fun Day
We picked Kaylyn up again this morning for our visit, she was in good spirits once we took off and we enjoyed a wonderful morning together.  She had a great time at our home, and enjoyed opening Christmas Presents (since we won't be able to see her for the holidays).
We stayed around the house and just 'played' all morning.  I put some pictures up on the web site HERE.  We Look forward to seeing her again next month, the weekend of January 10!

December 6, 2008: A Fun Day
We picked Kaylyn up this morning at 9AM and she started giggling just as soon as she got in the car, she seemed to be in a real happy mood by the time we headed off to our visit.  She was a darling all day long, had lots of fun with Grandma and Grandpa, and seemed to really be enjoying herself.
We went to Avila Beach to play on the swings, home to play on the swings, and Vets Hall in SLO to see Santa Claus.  I put some pictures up on the web site HERE.  We'll see her again tomorrow as well!

December 5, 2008: Gas Prices
Prices keep dropping on gas, will it eventually get to $1.00 a gallon???

November 28, 2008: Gas Prices
I didn't think we'd ever see this again, gas under $2.00 a gallon. At the Costco in San Luis Obispo.

November 27, 2008: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
We enjoyed a wonderful morning with Kaylyn today, we picked up right where we left off.  It's almost as if we were never apart, she recognized us right away and had a very fun and exciting visit with us.
This made a very nice Thanksgiving for the whole family, thank goodness we can all settle down to being a happy and healthy FAMILY.

November 26, 2008: Thanks!!!
We just returned home from the court hearing to decide if we get to see Kaylyn, and the best news possible was given to us by the court...WE GET VISITATION!!!
We thank all of those that supported us and even showed their support by being at the hearing for us, we couldn't have done it with all involved. It was nice to show the court that what we said was, in fact, the truth.
After all the time, effort, and help from so many people; the long journey is finally at an end.
Kaylyn will be so happy to see us!!!
And the best news is that we will get to see her TOMORROW, Thanksgiving DAY!!!
We couldn't be happier with the outcome!!!

November 26, 2008: How Timely...
I received this quote from a very close person, which was revealed on Reverend Run's Wisdom of the Day web site this morning (globalgrind.com/revrun). It is so appropriate to the events of the day:
The best way to disconnect from wrong people is to become obsessed with doing the right thing! When your obsession is to do the right thing, wrong people will find you unbearable.

November 21, 2008: "Why can't we just be honest???"
As most of you know, Kaylyn's mother has done just about everything to make sure that Kaylyn doesn't get to see her grandparents, yep...those of us that were there at her birth and through her first 2 1/2 years of her life.
Granted we've got full legal rights, even a signed order from the court; but for some reason we are still being denied visitation...

November 15, 2008: Gas Prices
Still coming down, slowly...we finally see under $2.50 a gallon.

November 14, 2008: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the moments that takes our breath away."
We have a little over a month before the birth of the newest member of our family, Madelyn.
It's so nice to know that she will be brought into this world with a great home, smart/loving parents to guide her, and too many friends and family to count that will help out at any moment.
It's funny that an owl has been seen at the front porch lately, an indian legend says that the owl is there to provide protection...in this case, maybe for the new arrival!  I wonder if great-great-grandma Sarah Silvers had anything to do with that :-)

November 12, 2008: Rizzio Family Photos
I scanned and cleaned up the photos I have of the Rizzio Family (Mary's Family).
See them from the TINLIN Family Page (click on the 'Old Photos...' link at this page) or at the Family Tree Page, where you can scroll down and click the 'Carlo and Jennie Rizzio' link to get to the page.
Also, there's some 'old' photos of me in the same places...

See them at the TINLIN Family Page (click on the 'Old Photos...' link at this page) or at the Family Tree Page, where you can scroll down and click his name to get to the page.

November 8, 2008: Rotator Cuff Surgery
I went in to get my left shoulder operated on yesterday, everything came out just fine.
The doctor said he didn't have to repair the rotator cuff, which is good, and cleaned up the bone.
I should be back in fighting shape in a week or so...

Support the Fight Against MS.
Jeanette is walking Saturday November 8 in support of finding a cure for MS and to help those less fortunate than us that wake up every day and are NOT able to walk.  If you are interested in helping this cause, click HERE, we did.

Nothing like enjoying time off and sitting in the nice warm sun with a baseball game in front of you.
Lots of pictures taken near/at the ballpark, check them out in the Photo Album

September 19, 2008: PERJURY...
Perjury is the "willful and corrupt taking of a false oath in regard to a material matter in a judicial proceeding". It is sometimes called "lying under oath"; that is, deliberately telling a lie in a courtroom proceeding after having taken an oath to tell the truth.
"Ignorance is excusable...but perjury is punishable by law!!!"

September 17, 2008: At Long Last We Have It!!!
The whole family knows the struggles we have been going through since March, now the court has given us what we rightfully (and legally) deserve!!!
We now have the authority to see our grand daughter Kaylyn.
What a pitiful statement of our society when you have to go to court to obtain what should rightfully occur in a persons life; rather than allowing a child to see her own family.
Yeah, we're happy...REAL happy

Jan. 2, 2008: I've made some changes to the web site.  Recent developments have changed our family, now that Kaylyn is no longer with her Daddy.  It's unfortunate that people think they are the victim when, in fact, they are the perpetrator.

New Year 2008: As adults, we are supposed to learn that we live in a world where 'cooperation' gets things done.  For those that choose not to sacrifice so our children can grow up to be strong, sharing, compromising, and responsible people; shame on you...the cycle continues.
